Day 5:
Got to see Pittsburgh. Quick trip. Cool 80’s fountain. Ethan is horrible at directions despite what he thinks. Plenty of mountains along the way. We got into D.C. only to drive around for 1 ½ hours because Ethan refused to ask for directions. He accused me of not knowing where we were going. He then took matters into his own hands and drove us into the ghetto (all while being on the phone with his girl mind you). He finally finds the place and claims that he is the ultimate in directions because he didn’t have to ask. I don’t know which is better. Having the gonads to stop, ask for directions, and go where you’re heading…. Or drive around in f*cking circles until you run into the place; wasting hours of time only for the privilege of saying you have a great “sense of direction” Either way, I think we would have gotten their faster with Karen driving.

Day 4: Cedar Point
Went to the greatest amusement park in the world. Tons of roller coasters and other fun-ness. Went to Ryan’s buffet, which was awesome as we met my future mail order bride. Saw family while Ethan hid downstairs. Lacy wants to help shop for the ring… ha.

Day 3: Sleeping Giant
We toured Notre Dame as anyone in the area should. Of course, it is the most beautiful place on the earth. Ethan topped the experience by saying, “Maybe I’ll apply to law school here to make you feel like shit.” This made the trip perfect as it added to Ethan’s other sayings which included:
• “At least I know where I’m going with my life”
• “Too bad you could never get in here”
• “You are the worst driver ever”
• “You should get a real job”
• “You wish you had what me and kim have”
• “Can you do anything right?”
Too bad I did get in there (and USC), I do have a job, am an aggressive driver (not homosexual like some) have a job (not supported by my girl), am glad I don’t have what you and kim have, and have beaten you at just about everything we have ever done against each other. It the midst of all this, we saw the Cleveland hard rock, and some very nice “dance” club. Good times.

Day 2: A struggle of power
Well, around 4:30am we rolled into the outskirts of Chicago. Instead of renting a hotel and basically using it for a few hours, we decided to sleep in the car in a truck stop parking lot. After around four hours of sleeping, we woke to an extremely warm, humid morning and empty stomachs. We stopped at burger king to grab breakfast and plan our day in Chicago. When we finally got to Chicago, we managed to get lost and see the ghetto areas of the city. I’m not trying to sound racist or anything, but we looked like two lonely stars amidst a forever stretching black sky. Once we finally got to where we were going, we parked on the 10th story of a parking garage. Ethan took his sweet-ass time getting ready (put on shoes, different clothes, cologne…hell, I think he read a book in this time). Once we finally got moving, we headed to the Sears tower where we enjoyed some awesome views from the 103rd floor. From there, we walked almost the distance of the city to the John Hancock building, where we went to the top also. After this, we stopped in Hard Rock for lunch and a hurricane glass for E. I had nacho’s, and he had a Joe Tyler quesadilla or something which turned out to be crappy. Oh well.
By this time it was around 5:00, so we decided to get out of Chicago to find a place to stay. I persuaded Ethan into making the drive and spending the night in South Bend… (You didn’t think I’d let us just drive by the holy land did you?). We got to the hotel around 8:00, and decided to catch up on our Katrina coverage…sad stuff. The worst part is the looters. Anyways, we tried to watch a movie after that, but I fell asleep, and Ethan apparently went on a late night sub binge… wonder what would cause that..
